The Jaily Review
Funk/Jazz/Soul
Jazz and soul music are often synonymous with soft, soothing chord progressions and laid-back grooves, perfect for an evening with a good book. Behind that calming exterior, however, the genres are as diverse and experimental as any other: perhaps even more so for funk or jazz, which can often lean into particularly avant-garde, dissonant sounds. Whatever the situation, both genres are well worth your time. Read a suite of our funk, jazz and soul reviews below, or click 'articles' to find them all.
