Pros:

Highly intimate, personal and relatable lyrics ground the album's atmosphere well, and are given an appropriately raw and honest delivery to match

Brilliant production adapts to complement each track, shifting from glossy and clear to abrasive and distorted as needed

Varying musical styles are a welcome surprise, venturing from soulful piano to aggressive pop punk

Cons:

Greatly inconsistent in the quality and complexity of its arrangements and songwriting, often falling back on disappointingly simple acoustic loops and flat percussion to fill out the runtime

Theming, while being the draw for many, veers dangerously close to irritating or even childish in the weakest moments

Best: vampire

Worst: lacy

7/10 A breath of fresh air for pop
