Pros:

Greatly upbeat, rocking and fun, packed full with groovy riffs and memorable choruses that'll get stuck in your head

Guitar work, when allowed to run wild, can be masterful and evocative, as would be expected from such a legendary performer

Cons:

Disappointingly flat and sterile, sticking to strict formulas and rarely allowing itself to run wild with any particular concept

Lead guitar is, for the most part, disappointingly constrained, watering down Van Halen's virtuosic style into more cookie-cutter playing

Lead vocals can grate at times, especially in the all-too-frequent high-pitched squeals
