Pros:

Undeniably timeless, memorable and iconic, sporting an endless supply of incredible hooks, melodies and choruses

Creates a wonderfully intriguing atmosphere, bouncing between high-energy rock'n'roll and more soulful elements

Instrumentation is surprisingly diverse and inspired, utilising everything from orchestral strings to boisterous brass inclusions to bizarre synth sections

Cons:

Vocal delivery and production are both constant annoyances, leaning into Bowie's worst tendencies

Can be fairly inconsistent across its runtime, with some tracks dropping in quality quite noticeably

Best: Moonage Daydream

Worst: Star

7/10 He sure did play guitar
