Pros:

Instrumentation is consistently varied and unique, utilising harrowing strings, rich brass and classic synth inclusions to give each track character

Lyrical content is often dark and mysterious, adding to the record's dark appeal

Songwriting can be intrepid and fresh, using chromatic melodies and interesting chord changes to accent the mix of indie and hard rock

Cons:

Select tracks are so indistinct and plain as to resemble hold music, with a writing ethos and production style that heavily deemphasises any sense of progression or climax

Many elements are wildly inconsistent, featuring some needlessly clunky lyrical choices and truly awful child-like backing vocals

Best: Hayloft

Worst: Wisdom

6/10 Truly, a fish out of water
