Pros:

Performances are full of whimsical charm, bringing some impassioned lead and backing vocals, as well as a flawless rhythm section chock full of excellent bass lines

Songwriting and guitar grooves are both endlessly iconic and distinctly human, pulling off a range of styles including acoustic balladry, arena rock and even funk and infusing every track with a wonderfully personal touch

Production holds up surprisingly well for the most part, blending in supplemental instrumentation seamlessly and accenting each performance well

Cons:

Drum production, in particular, is quite a letdown, dialling in overly harsh timbres including an insufferable snare

Many tracks suffer from being underwritten, relying on simple grooves and an overdose of cheese to keep them together

Best: The Chain

Worst: Never Going Back Again

7/10 A pure classic
