Pros:

Combination of funk and soul is perhaps more vibrant and fully-formed than ever before, frequently settling into some masterful grooves topped by endlessly iconic lead vocals

Instrumentation is consistently bright and joyful, indulging in playful brass inclusions, excellent bass lines, free-flowing percussion, stylised guitars and more and tying them all together beautifully

Lyrical content is mostly well-suited and adds to the calming, reflective mood, bouncing between notes of extreme optimism and some touching moments of social commentary

Cons:

Needlessly bloated and overextended, including a number of largely redundant tracks and pushing many cuts to be twice as long as they need to be

Production can be a little thinner and less inviting than one might hope

Best: Sir Duke

Worst: Village Ghetto Land

8/10 I've run out of 'wonder' puns
